Pegasus Group

Product Design

Pegasus group LTD is a supplier of licensed children’s products to New Zealand wholesale toy stores. I was employed as the Graphic Designer. The Products require approval by License companies before production. I became very well-versed in license approval procedures. Color selection, typography and imagery must align with the license company values and resonate with the intended audience. This process was subject to auditing so precautions were taken to ensure work was logged correctly. Pegasus Group developed an in house database to document the process digitally for reference. Pegasus sold many different products requiring different print methods. Text is converted to outlines and images are embedded. Colours are converted to PMS Pantone colours. Sell Sheets are made for Pegasus Product Managers to sell to the buyers. The products are produced by a team employed by Pegasus in China. They are then shipped to New Zealand and stored at the Pegasus Warehouse for distribution. Later this role expanded to include Website Development, both design and code.

Easy Shop

Graphic Design and Marketing

EasyShop was a company offering financing for a wide range of products. As the Graphic Designer I created marketing materials to promote the brand and sell the products. Sales people were employed selling products directly to the customer door to door and at social events. Marketing materials were brochures, catalogues, social media, banners, shirts, flyers and novelty items. EasyShop also advertised on Radio. Product catalogues are created each month advertising different products such as TV’s, Phones, Cameras, Stereos, Kitchenware, House-ware, Gaming Consoles, Computers, and others. Deadlines were tight as the product information and prices would change frequently before the due date of printing. Constant adjustments are needed while also retaining the layout and branding of the catalogue at a professional level at all times. Easyshop was experimental with advertising at times. I would collaborate with the CEO, General Manager, Marketing Manager and the Sales Manager. Easyshop would often participate in social and charity events while promoting the products and brand. The workplace culture was a fun and engaging environment with friendly hardworking people.

DesignMeInk

Graphic design and Web Development

DesignMeInk is a company based in Australia. All work was remote working from home in New Zealand. I created brands, box art, labels, brochures, documents, and websites. Customers purchased deals for product branding and website development. I worked with the CEO and other team members via the Band Camp on-line project management service. My work briefs were communicated over phone, email, on-line chat and other remote forms of communication. Good communication was essential. I managed two or more different projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks by levels of importance. A fast and accurate workflow was required to meet deadlines. I created artwork for printing and websites while collaborating with the website developers. File requirements are provided by the developers. Both printed and digital graphics for different companies required excellent file organization and backup skills.

Occasionally I would work on video editing and instruction videos to demonstrate the functionality of different farming equipment.
